Embossed Paper Overview
Embossed paper features a raised relief pattern mechanically pressed into the paper or board surface. Standard textures include linen, felt, laid, canvas and woodgrain, while a custom pattern may require dedicated tooling and a separate production review. It is used for boxes, hang tags, cards, covers and stationery where a tactile surface is part of the design. Printing, foil stamping, folding and die-cutting should be tested on the selected substrate, grammage, pattern and embossing depth before production.
