Silicone Coated Paper Overview

Silicone coated paper uses a release layer applied to one or both sides of a paper substrate. The base paper, grammage, coated side and release force must be selected for the adhesive, temperature, converting speed and end use. The reference range covers bleached or natural kraft substrates from 40–120 gsm in sheets and reels. It can be used as a liner for labels and tapes, an industrial release separator and, where the exact grade and supporting documents allow it, for baking or food-contact applications. Heat resistance and food-contact compliance are confirmed only for the ordered grade.

Only grades with the required heat-resistance and food-contact documentation should be used as baking parchment paper. Confirm the oven temperature, contact conditions and destination-market requirements for the exact grade.

Do you supply parchment paper sheets and baking paper rolls?

Documented baking grades can be supplied as parchment paper sheets or baking paper rolls when the required grammage, coating, dimensions and order quantity are confirmed.

Should I choose silicone coating on one side or two sides?

One-side coating is used where release is needed on one face. Two-side coating is selected when both surfaces require release. The correct option depends on the process, product contact and converting setup.
