Soft Touch Paper Overview
Soft touch paper — also called velvet paper, suede-touch, or soft-feel coated paper — is a paper or board substrate coated with a water-based polyurethane or acrylic dispersion that creates a remarkably smooth, almost rubbery tactile surface. The coating transforms ordinary printed paper into a sensory experience — warm to the touch, fingerprint-resistant, and scuff-resistant. It is widely used by luxury brands for premium packaging, business cards, book covers, and high-end promotional materials where first impression is everything.
